Ketchikan, Ketchikan, Alaska · Aug 25, 2026
Arrive 6:00 AM · Depart 3:00 PM — 9 hours ashore. Salmon Capital of the World.

Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier, At Sea · Aug 26, 2026
Scenic cruising 5:00 AM – 9:00 AM. Set a 4 AM alarm — this is one of the most dramatic moments of the trip.
The ship enters the fjord at 5 AM. Towering granite walls rise thousands of feet on both sides, with waterfalls cascading down. Dawes Glacier at the head of the arm calves icebergs directly into the water. Get to an upper open deck well before 5 AM to claim a spot.
Dress in full layers — gloves, warm hat, fleece under your rain jacket. It will be cold even in August.

Juneau, Juneau, Alaska · Aug 26, 2026
Arrive 12:30 PM · Depart 9:15 PM — nearly 9 hours ashore. Alaska's capital, only accessible by air or sea.
Mendenhall is a 13-mile-long glacier flowing out of the 1,500-square-mile Juneau Icefield — one of the largest icefields in North America. The glacier has retreated nearly 2 miles since 1958. Mendenhall Lake, which now sits in front of the glacier, didn't exist a century ago — it formed entirely as the ice pulled back. Icebergs calve directly into the lake, which you can see from the visitor center.

Skagway, Skagway, Alaska · Aug 27, 2026
Arrive 6:00 AM · Depart 5:00 PM — 11 hours ashore. Longest port day of the trip.
In 1896, gold was discovered in the Klondike region of Yukon, Canada. Within a year, 100,000 prospectors flooded north. Skagway was the main gateway — a lawless boomtown that grew from a single cabin to 20,000 people in months. The notorious con man Soapy Smith ran the town until he was shot in a duel on the Skagway wharf in 1898. Most prospectors who actually reached the Klondike found nothing. The real money was made by those who sold them supplies.
